As the main venue of the “Come and Join the Competition” themed event for World Youth Skills Day on July 15, the WorldSkills Museum hosted multiple promotional activities for the WorldSkills Competition that day.

The second batch of Dream Ambassdors for WorldSkills Shanghai 2026, namely Wang Shuqun, Cao Jiahao, Zhu Lixuan, Liu Xinru, Yang Lingzhi, and Wu Jiani, along with other master craftsmen and outstanding Competitors received their appointment letters on site. These six Dream Ambassadors have continuously set new records for China on the global skills stage, excelling in fields ranging from aerospace assembly and digital software to floristry, pâtisserie and confectionery, restaurant service, and hotel reception. The sixteen Dream Ambassadors in total will use their exemplary influence to translate WorldSkills standards, top-level skills, and the spirit of craftsmanship into tangible and replicable growth models for young people, injecting new momentum into cultivating future master craftsmen and skilled workers.

The WorldSkills Briefing was held at the Museum, with representatives from 29 institutions across 20 countries and regions in attendance. The briefing outlined the progress in preparations for the 48th WorldSkills Competition. Several consular officials noted that they would actively communicate and coordinate with the skills departments of their respective countries to fully ensure the participation of their delegations in WorldSkills Shanghai.

The routes for the Shanghai Tour themed “Come and Join the Competition: Skills Encounter WorldSkills” were released. The routes connect five cultural venues across the city that embody “skills genes”: the WorldSkills Museum, Shanghai Textile Museum, Shanghai Craftsmen’s Hall, Pudong Library, and the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum. Visitors can collect a “WorldSkills Check-in Passport” at these venues and participate in stamp-collection tasks, online mass quizzes, and lottery activities to learn about the development trajectory and innovative achievements across various skill fields. The event will be open to the public from July 15 to 17.

At the ceremony, the “Nengnefng’s and Qiaqiao’s Yangtze River Delta WorldSkills Tour” was concluded successfully. Starting from June 10, three WorldSkills Competition vehicles have been transformed into “Mobile WorldSkills Museums,” bringing collections, Champion stories, and hands-on skill experiences to ten key vocational schools in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Anhui, which helps advance the development of a high-level skills talent hub in the Yangtze River Delta. A 15-day tour covering 2,500 kilometers attracted more than 15,000 teachers and students. Seven WorldSkills Competitors and ten master craftsmen were invited to share how they achieved success and contributed to the country through skills, drawing an audience of over 5,000 teachers and students. After returning to Shanghai, the WorldSkills Competition vehicles toured multiple commercial areas, campuses, industrial parks, and communities across the city, and finally arrived at the WorldSkills Museum on 14 July. Their journey has continued to expand the reach of the WorldSkills Competition by bringing mobile skills-culture scenes to the public.

Together, these activities created a skill-focused cultural scene with interactive appeal, fostering a vibrant atmosphere for the 48th WorldSkills Competition.
