Prohibited items
Refer to items that violate respective Chinese laws and regulations. If security personnel discover prohibited items, such items shall be confiscated in accordance with the law or subject to immediate emergency handling.
  • Explosives, blasting materials, or items containing explosives or blasting materials.
  • Items and substances that can be used to manufacture flammable materials and pyrotechnic substances for fireworks, smoke effects, firecrackers, and similar.
  • Weapons, ammunition, firearm components, simulated firearms, crossbows, bows and arrows, and other items.
  • Items used for pricking or cutting – such as knives, daggers, etc.
  • Flammable or explosive hazardous materials, such as gasoline and alcohol.
  • Toxic substances, radioactive materials, or substances with strong odors.
  • Hazardous substances such as pest control agents and pathogens of infectious diseases.
  • Heroin, cocaine, cannabis, methamphetamine, and other types of narcotics.
  • Promotional materials containing religious, political, or insulting content, or content that may disrupt public order or (and) violate moral or ethical standards (including banners, transparent films, posters, logos, and similar items), as well as materials promoting extremism or any items bearing derogatory or discriminatory connotations (including, but not limited to, banners, flags, symbolic signs, leaflets, and clothing).
Restricted items
Refer to items that, although they do not violate Chinese laws or regulations, may compromise the security or operational order of the NECC during the WSC2026 and are therefore not permitted to be brought into the venue. If security personnel discover such restricted items, they shall instruct the person carrying them to discard the items into a designated container, arrange for their temporary storage, or otherwise dispose of them on their own.
  • Oxidizing agents and organic peroxides.
  • Lighters, matches, and other ignition devices.
  • Compressed gases and liquefied gases.
  • Pharmaceuticals and medical products with more than one packaging type or more than seven different names (any form of factory packaging, including sprays, drops, syringes, etc.).
  • Narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursor substances, including substances in pharmaceutical form.
  • Aerosol containers.
  • Work tools involving safety risks.
  • Glass containers.
  • Liquid contained in containers with a capacity of greater than 500 ml or more.
  • Beverages exceeding 500ml (including alcoholic beverages, excluding baby formula, milk and other infant and child beverages.).
  • All animals (except service animals such as guide dogs).
  • Mobility aids not intended for transporting persons with reduced mobility, including bicycles, roller skates, skateboards, and kick scooters and standing pedal-powered vehicles.
  • Items that can cause personal injury—such as balls, rackets, flying discs, baseball bats, long sticks, umbrellas with long handles, or sharp objects.
  • Radio electronic equipment and high-frequency equipment.
  • Televisions and professional telecommunications equipment (except for authorized media personnel).
  • For photography and videography, tripod or monopod are not permitted (except for authorized media personnel); handheld small supports are unrestricted.
  • Items bearing trademarks, brands, brand names, logos or other types of trademarks, or containing information not related to the event organizer or WSI partners, or items that may be used for commercial purposes.
  • Technical equipment (e.g., laser devices, portable lights), radio stations, or sound amplification devices that may prevent an event from taking place or cause inconvenience to participants.
  • Mobile and gliding aircraft and their models (e.g., gliders, drones, kites, etc.).
  • Large-sized bags or other items that are not suitable for bringing into the venue (luggage with dimensions exceeding 50 cm x 36 cm with exception of accredited personnel bringing tools as per their Skill Infrastructure List).
  • Flags with an unfolded area exceeding 2 m x 1 m or flagpoles with a length exceeding 1 m.
  • Wearing a helmet or any other item that covers the face to make your identity difficult to identify.
  • Carrying painting supplies
  • Any powdered substance, regardless of its quantity (excluding formula milk and other infant foods).
  • Any item resembling prohibited goods, or any replica or similar item thereof.
